Beth is from Amity, a small town in the Willamette Valley, and grew up on a farm. She became invested in a relationship with Christ at the age of 13, and actively participated in her church's youth and children's programs.  By her senior year of high school, she was the Children's Church Director.  Upon graduating high school, she became a volunteer in the youth group and helped lead worship. After her sophomore year at Western Oregon University she transferred to Boise Bible College (BBC) where she became involved in small group Bible studies on campus. During her time at BBC, Beth served as a leader on youth and children’s ministry teams at local churches.

Beth met Kevin and Amanda Bates while at a leadership camp in Cottage Grove, Oregon during her first year at BBC.  By this time, she was friends with Todd King and Jake Pflug, who were all at the leadership camp together. Halfway through her senior year, she was asked to join the Resonate team as the Global Missions Coach, connecting missionaries in China to the church in Sherwood.  It was through these relationships that she was brought on board to Resonate's team, and moved to Sherwood in May 2010 to start serving.

She is currently the Kids and Youth Director leading teams that serve children and families.

Beth teaches 8th grade Writing and Reading at Chehalem Valley Middle School in Newberg, Oregon.  She is surrounded by family in the Willamette Valley. She loves all things active: running, cycling, hiking, snowshoeing, and swimming, etc.  She spends time catching up on some of her favorite shows including Downton Abby and BBC's Sherlock.  She reads many young adult novels to keep up with the middle schoolers she teaches.
