Becky is native to the Pacific Western states, having grown up both on the Central California coast in her teens to early twenties and in Walla Walla, Washington (prior to and after California). Although she was raised in the church from birth, she fell in love with Jesus and committed her life to Christ through friends she met in her late teens and early twenties at college through Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. Shortly after, she began serving as a student campus ministry leader, and a youth ministry leader in her local church. This was where her love for people, building relationships, and walking alongside others in spiritual journeys began to grow.

In Walla Walla, Becky met the love of her life, Brad, and they married in 1994. They moved to the Portland area in 1999. Wanting to be a part of a church in their local Sherwood community, they visited Resonate in June of 2012, and immediately knew it was home. In October 2015, Becky was ordained into ministry and currently serves as Associate Pastor, overseeing the Women’s Ministry. She loves developing relationships with the women of Resonate and the local community, connecting over a cup of coffee, in a book club, or at one of our monthly events. You will also find her using her love of music, by occasionally serving with the worship team as a vocalist.

She graduated from Warner Pacific College with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development, and is currently working on a Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation at George Fox Evangelical Seminary. She has worked in the medical, education, and human resources fields. She joined the Symposium Coffee family in 2013 where she enjoys crafting great coffee and food, while connecting over the counter with the local community. Her passions include exploring beach towns with Brad and Amanda, reading, hiking, camping (really, anything outside in the woods or water), and making and eating tasty, allergy-friendly foods. You might see her walking up a storm through the streets of Sherwood or buried in a school book at a local library or coffee shop.
